Corinth Pipeworks has announced its participation in the Greece–North Macedonia Natural Gas Interconnector, a milestone project that strengthens regional energy security, enhances cross-border connectivity, and supports the transition to a low-carbon energy future.

The joint venture is dedicated to the development of the BarMar, Project of Common Interest (PCI), the renewable hydrogen pipeline that will connect Barcelona, Spain, to Marseille, France - a key part of the H2med project, alongside the CelZa project.

The planned capacity of the pipeline is up to 5 million tpy of crude oil, while its length on the Serbian side will be 113 km.

In the initial phase, the terminal will be used to import liquefied natural gas, using Strohm’s TCP, with the pipe being repurposed for liquid carbon dioxide transport at a later stage.

The partnership aims to support investments in production and infrastructure such as gas compressors, increasing the amount of pipeline gas coming to Europe and thus ensuring the continent’s security of supply.
