Starting in Lubmin near Greifswald on the Baltic Sea in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the EUGAL gas pipeline will stretch southwards to Deutschneudorf in Saxony and from there on to Czechia, thus passing through the German states of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (c. 100 km), Brandenburg (c. 275 km), and the Free State of Saxony (c. 110 km). Extended sections of its total length of some 485 km are designed as two parallel pipe strings.
